A great and simple dessert and it does not matter what shape the bananas are in…..
Makes: 6 servings Total Time: 15 min
What you need
- 1 stick unsalted butter melted in pan
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 cup dark rum
- 1/4 cup banana liqueur
Melt butter and brown sugar. Add cinnamon. Flame the liqueurs in the pan after you add the bananas. Serve with a rich vanilla ice cream, like Hagen Daz.

Dale and I served this at dinner parties in the 70’s and 80’s and it was always a huge success. I haven’t made it in a couple of years so it is time to do so. Also, uses up that banana liqueur. I have another recipe using creme de banan that we can try while the two of you are here.
